Terms of use

These terms cover this website, calc.blue, which is run by DotBlue LLC. Using the site means you accept them. The iPad app will have its own terms when it opens.

The free calculators give estimates

The calculators at /tools use generic textbook methods and published design temperatures. Their results are estimates for planning and conversation. They are not a Manual J load calculation, a Manual S equipment selection or a design for any particular house, and they are not a substitute for one done by a qualified designer. Check any number against the equipment maker's data and your local code before you size, buy or permit equipment.

No warranty

The site and the calculators are provided as they are, free of charge, without any warranty that they are accurate, complete or available. To the extent the law allows, DotBlue LLC is not liable for decisions made or costs incurred on the strength of them.
